Positive review after the deadline of the AAL-project ENSAFE
The last three years ten partners from Sweden, Italy, the UK and the Netherlands participated in the AAL-project ENSAFE. The partners developed a network-based service aimed at fostering independent life of a range of elderly users with specific needs and health conditions. The partners were able to develop this service by gathering feedback of almost 100 elderly people during several pilot phases in four countries. Not only the technical development was supported by the feedback, the partners also learnt a lot about performing research in context with elderly and some were able to create some interesting spin-off products.
ENSAFE was experienced successful by the partners, as well as by AAL and the reviewers. The AAL-project ended this summer and was reviewed in September. This official deadline of the AAL-project did not mean the end of ENSAFE. The partners keep striving for supporting effective prevention and self-care strategies, and fostering independent life of elderly people.
